Align the bracket/arm hole with the sunshade top rail hole and insert the NEW pin (see Figure 8a). Use your thumb to push the pin down as far as
possible (see Figure 8b).

NOTE:

You may have to pull on the arm, against the force of the cable, to align the holes before inserting and pushing down on the pin (see Figure 8a & 8b).

Use a pair of pliers to press down on the pin (see Figure 8c and 9) until the pin is fully seated.

CAUTION:

Put electrical tape on the jaws of the pliers to prevent scratching the pin or sunshade top rail

Make sure the lower  of the pliers is positioned so it does not cover the lower hole of the top rail (see Figure 9). If the pliers cover the lower hole, the
pin cannot be fully installed (i.e., the pin cannot protrude through the lower hole of the top rail)

Make sure the head of the pin is fully seated against the top rail surface (see Figure 9)

Make sure the bottom of the pin protrudes through the lower hole of the top rail (see Figure 9) Make sure the gap between each side of the bracket
and the sunshade top rail is equal

21.

Repeat steps 11 through 20 for the bracket on the opposite side of the sunshade assembly.

22.

Place the sunshade assembly on the parcel shelf and reconnect the wire harness.
