Grind no more than 3 mm off the LATCH bracket at the rubbing/contact point (see Figure 2).

6.

Install the LATCH bracket. Torque each of the three bolts to 32-40 ft-lb.

7.

Verify that the rubbing noise no longer occurs.

8.

Cover the scrapped-off paint or polished bare metal area on the LATCH bracket with touch-up paint.

9.

Install rear seat back assembly and rear seat cushion.
