Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair

Bulb Replacement (USA/CANADA)

HEADLAMP (OUTER SIDE), FOR LOW BEAM

1. Remove the headlamps.
2. Turn the plastic cap counterclockwise and unlock it.
3. Disconnect the headlamp connector.
4. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and unlock it.
5. Unlock the retaining spring and remove the bulb from the headlamp.

Headlamp (outer side), for low beam : 12 V 35 W(D2S)

HEADLAMP (INNER SIDE), FOR HIGH BEAM

1. Turn the lighting switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable or remove the power fuse.
3. Disconnect the headlamp connector.
4. Remove the mass airflow sensor cover and the air cleaner (when replacing LH bulb). Refer to"AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT" in "ENGINE

MECHANICAL (EM)".

5. Remove the battery cover and the battery (when replacing RH bulb). Refer to "Removal and Installation" in "STARTING AND CHARGING

SYSTEM (SC)".

6. Turn the plastic cap counterclockwise and unlock it.
7. Disconnect the terminal connected to the bulb.
8. Unlock the retaining spring and remove the bulb from the headlamp.

Headlamp (inner side), for high beam : 12 V 55 W (H1)

CAUTION:  After installing the bulb, be sure to install the plastic cap and the bulb socket securely to ensure water-tightness.
