SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 2002 Q45 has a "delayed" automatic transmission 5-2 downshift that feels like a hesitation (perhaps at 3/4 to WOT [Wide Open Throttle] and
between 40 - 60 MPH), use this Service Procedure to determine if the:

Transmission Control Module (TCM) needs Reprogramming or replacement and if the

^

Engine Control Module (ECM) needs Reprogramming.

NOTES:

One of the noticeable results of ECM/TCM reprogramming (in this case) is a firmer 5-2 downshift.

The ECM/TCM reprogramming data is available as of the 6/15/02 ASIST cd.
