If the vehicle still pulls to the right, check steering rack sliding force. Refer to ITB00-027 for procedures on steering rack sliding force
measurement and adjustment. Test drive again to check if the vehicle still pulls to the right.

If the vehicle still pulls to the right, check the alignment on all four (4) wheels. Take note of the front LH and RH caster angle values of the
incident vehicle. Then, compare these alignment specification results with specifications in the Original specifications (top half of Table 1 ).

If the incident vehicle specifications fall within the "original" specification range above, install the LH or/and RH front suspension arm bolt kit.

The bolt kit is designed to address road crown-related "pull to the right" incidents by increasing the caster angle on the right side (passenger
side) and decreasing the caster angle on the left side (driver side). This is accomplished by the use of eccentric washers. The eccentricity of the
washer provides some adjustment to the caster angle.

Each bolt kit provides a cross caster of almost 0.90. If the bolt kits are installed on both the RH and LH side, the cross caster will change to
approximately 1.80 total, left and right combined.

Refer to Table to identity which side suspension arm bolt to replace. After determining this, follow the procedure in this bulletin to replace the LH and/or
RH front suspension arm bolt.

Remember: A vehicle will pull towards  the direction of the wheel with the least or lowest caster number.

After installing new suspension arm bolt(s), check front suspension wheel alignment again. Refer to Table 1 (bottom half) above for wheel
alignment specifications with the replacement bolt(s) installed. Test-drive the vehicle to check it the "pull to the right" condition has been
eliminated and that there is no "pull to the left".

If the vehicle still pulls to the right after replacement of only one side of front suspension arm bolt, replace also the opposite side front suspension
arm bolt.

11.

Check and adjust wheel alignment. Test-drive the vehicle again to ensure that "pull to the right" has been eliminated and that there is no "pull to
the left".

Procedure for replacing the LH (Driver Side) front suspension arm bolt.

The purpose for replacing the LH front suspension arm bolt with the replacement bolt kit is to decrease the caster angle by about 0.90.
