2002 Q45 FRONT SUSPENSION SQUEAK/CREAK NOISE - SPRING

ATTENTION: 

This bulletin amends the Applied VIN, Applied Date, and the Parts Information sections of ITB01-028a. Please discard all paper copies of
ITB01-028a.

APPLIED VEHICLES: 
2002 Q45 (F50) With 18 inch wheels and Electronically Controlled Suspension

APPLIED VIN: 
Vehicles built before JNKBF01A_2M008409 

APPLIED DATE: 
Vehicles built up to December 5, 2001

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a creak or low-frequency squeak noise is heard in the left and/or right front suspension of an applied 2002 Q45 during the following conditions:

While driving at low speeds over bumps (i.e. speed bumps or driveways).

^

When turning.

^

During hard acceleration/deceleration.

It may be caused by the second coil of the front spring moving against the first coil (the one with the pre-attached spring seat rubber).

A replacement front spring assembly is available to correct this condition, if it should occur. Use the Service Procedure provided in this bulletin to:

Verify the noise and identify if it is coming from the front right, left, or both sides.

^

Install a replacement front spring assembly to the side(s) of the vehicle from which the creak/squeak noise is heard.

NOTE: 

This is the ONLY authorized repair procedure for this incident. A claim to Infiniti for the repair of this incident may be denied if the repair is not
performed exactly as outlined in this bulletin.
