Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation Shock Absorber

Removal 

1. Set the transmission jack on rear lower link to remove the fitting bolt and nut in the lower side of shock absorber.
2. Remove the transmission jack from rear lower link.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion, rear seat back and rear parcel shelf finisher.
4. Remove the cap and actuator assembly (with active damper suspension).
5. Remove the fitting nut in the upper side of shock absorber.

Installation

To install, reverse above removal procedures.

Be sure to install actuator assembly correctly as shown in illustration. (with active damper suspension).

CAUTION:  If a strong shock has been given to the actuator assembly or if it has been dropped, replace it with a new one.
