SERVICE INFORMATION

Apply the performance level update in the Service Procedure of this bulletin to

All in-stock dealer inventories of 2002 MY Q45 vehicles.

Some of the procedures in this bulletin have been previously published in Infiniti Technical Bulletins ITB01-038a and ITB02-040. For vehicles that are
not in-stock dealer inventory, please refer to those bulletins.

NOTE:

One of the noticeable results of ECM/TCM reprogramming (if applicable to this vehicle) is a firmer 5-2 downshift.

SERVICE PROCEDURE SUMMARY

Some or all of the following items may be performed on applicable vehicles:

1.

Replace accelerator pedal

2.

Reprogram TCM and initialize

3.

Reprogram ECM (using special "ECM ID Code)

4.

Perform vehicle test drive to confirm results

Refer to the "2002 Q45 Vehicle Update Flowchart" in the Service Procedure to determine applicability and specific service actions to be completed.

IMPORTANT:

The Vehicle Update flowchart (Shown under Service procedure start) gives you all the work steps (diagnosis, judgement, and action) that you need to
do.
