Rear Windows

1.

Clean the window glass and remove any rubber residue.

2.

Lower the window then remove the door interior trim panel. Refer to page BT-19 in the 1997 Q45 Service Manual for removal instructions.

CAUTION:  When removing the door trim panel, protect the trim panel from any potential damage/staining which may be caused by tools, black
door trim adhesive or other foreign material.

Remove the window glass run rubber.

Beginning at the upper front corner of the window, install the new window glass run rubber. Insert and slowly push down the window glass run
rubber on the rear edge of the window glass and into the window channel until the run rubber is flush with the window's rear side (see Figure 5).

Secure the run rubber to the sides and top of the window.

6.

Confirm through the door panel that the glass run rubber is properly inserted and seated in the glass channel.

7.

Connect the window switch and operate the window up and down several times to confirm the window moves freely and does not exhibit any
unusual noises.

8.

Disconnect the window switch then install the interior door trim panel.

9.

After installing all four run rubbers, test drive the vehicle to verify there are no wind noises, squeaks/squeals and rattles.
