Throttle Position Switch: Testing and Inspection

1.

Start and run engine until normal operating temperature is reached. Ensure fast idle cam holds cam follower lever released.

2.

Disconnect idle switch harness connector.

3.

Check continuity between terminals A and B, Fig. 213.

4.

Continuity should exist with accelerator pedal released.

5.

No continuity should exist with accelerator pedal depressed.
