Idle Speed: Adjustments
With Inductive Test Meter

1.

Clamp the inductive pick-up of the meter to the trigger wire (located near the L.F. strut tower) as shown.

2.

Start the engine and warm it up until the water temperature indicator points to the middle of the gauge.

3.

Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.

4.

Race the engine 2 or 3 times under no load, then check the idle speed.
Idle speed should be:
650 ± 100 rpm (A/T in "N" position). 
If not proceed to step 5.
