Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments
Secondary Throttle Sensor

    The secondary throttle sensor is only equipped on models with Traction Control System (TCS).

1.

Disconnect rubber air duct, then loosen sensor mounting bolts.

2.

Disconnect throttle motor harness connector.

3.

Connect secondary throttle sensor harness connector, if necessary.

4.

Turn ignition switch On.

5.

Voltage between terminal B Fig. 11, and ground should change when closing secondary throttle valve by hand.

6.

Voltage reading should be as follows:
a. With throttle valve fully open, 4.4-4.6 volts.
b. With throttle valve partially open, .4-.4.6 volts.
c. With throttle valve fully closed, more than .4 volts.
