BATTERY CHARGING/REPLACEMENT DATA SHEET

APPLIED MODELS: All Infiniti Models

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Infiniti has found two fundamental categories of battery incidents during our investigations. Batteries that are replaced due to battery durability related
causes, and those that are placed early in the battery's life. Infiniti is requesting your participation in providing valuable data to help us better understand
these early battery incidents. Please utilize the data sheet during battery service or replacement while following the procedure that is outlined in
Technical Bulletin ITB94-008, entitled "Battery Charging/Replacement Procedure."

WARRANTY INFORMATION:

The attached data sheet must be filled out and retained for warranty payment on any "early" battery replacement in a vehicle which was:

A. In dealer inventory for more than 31 days and currently in inventory, 

OR:

B. In dealer inventory for more than 31 days, and the battery replacement occurred within 31 days after the vehicle was retailed (RDR'd).

The completed battery data sheet will be required for all "early" battery claims beginning May 1, 1994, and will continue for a minimum of 90 days. All
"early" battery claims will be flagged with message code 308. This message will suspend the claim until a required approval is obtained. Your Dealer
Operations Consultant will verify that the proper battery testing/charging procedures were followed by reviewing the attached data sheet. If the correct
procedures were followed and the data sheet is properly filled out, your Dealer Operations Consultant will approve the claim.

Defective batteries will be shipped to National Headquarters for additional testing. The Region will be informed of the results of the test. If the battery is
found serviceable, the dealer will be charged back for the entire cost of the claim. Shipping labels and information will be provided by your Dealer
Operations Consultant.
