Install boots clamps as follows:
a. Wrap boot clamp around boot groove twice.
b. Tighten clamp by twisting rings at both ends 4-4 1/2 turns with screwdriver while pulling with a force of approximately 22 lbs.
c. Install boot clamp so clamped portion will be behind gear when gear housing is attached to vehicle.
d. Twist boot clamp as shown in Fig. 13.
e. After twisting boot clamp, bend twisted and diagonally so it does not contact boot.
