Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection

Refer to Fig. 10, when inspecting ball joint.

1.

Swing force of ball joint should be between 1.8-12.3 lbs.

2.

Turning torque of ball joint should be between 4.3-30.4 inch lbs.

3.

Vertical end play of ball joint should be 0 inch.

4.

If ball joint is not within specifications, replace lower arm as an assembly.
