SERVICE INFORMATION

If either of the following conditions exist when attempting to move the front driver's or passenger's power seat on an applied vehicle:

The seat does not move forward or backward when operating the seat switch and all other power seat functions are performing correctly.

^

A grinding or grating noise is heard when operating the seat switch forward or backward.

The inner rotating wire of the power seat drive cable may be broken.

Seat cables (wire, flexible seat) are available to correct this condition if it should occur.

NOTE:

This is the only authorized repair for this incident. DO NOT REPLACE the entire seat mechanism.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Verify one of the conditions described above exists.

2.

Raise the front of the seat bottom to the highest position and the rear of the seat bottom to the lowest position. You will be able to reach the
electrical connectors, forward/backward adjustment motor, and power seat drive cable from the front of the seat (foot well area).
