Remove the water temperature sensor connector to prevent damage.

Raise the collector about 2 inches and put a block (a piece of wood or other suitable material) in position to keep the collector raised. Be careful
not to apply excessive force to any wires, connectors or fuel hoses.

CAUTION:

Do not allow any foreign materials to drop into the intake manifold.

Remove the old gasket. You may need to lift the collector up slightly for clearance at the two studs at the front and rear.

Carefully clean any oil and dust from the gasket surface on the collector and intake manifold.

Install the countermeasure gasket. Make sure the gasket is in the proper position. The tabs on the gasket face UP (see Figure 5).

17.

Remove the block used to hold the collector up and lower the collector into position.

18.

Install the bolts and nuts. Torque evenly to 18-22 N.m (1.8-2.2 kg-m; 13-16 ft-lb) in the sequence shown in Figure 6.

Install the other components;
