Install the new vacuum hose (with clamps) between the vacuum fitting and the throttle opener (see Figure 3).

NOTE:

Apply Canopus 13 oil (P/N 999MP-AJ000) in the ends of the hose before installation

To ensure the hose is correctly installed and is not twisted, align the white dot on the hose with the white dot on the vacuum fitting (see Figure
3)

Install the new purge hose (with purge hose clip for 1997 JR5O) between the vacuum fitting and the purge control valve.

NOTE:

Apply Canopus 13 oil (P/N 999MP-AJ000) in the ends of the hose before installation.

Install the new tie wrap (if applicable) around the vacuum hose and the purge hose (see Figure 4). Once installed, cut off excess length of the tie
wrap to avoid interference with other components.

Re-install the throttle cables/support bracket.

14.

Re-install the air intake duct.

15.

Install the new Vacuum Hose Wiring Diagram label (over the old one) on the underside of the front hood. NOTE: Clean the surface of the old
label with Isopropyl alcohol and let it dry before applying the new label.

16.

Check and adjust (if necessary) the base engine idle speed. Refer to the applicable Service Manual for the base engine idle speed adjustment
procedure.

17.

Adjust the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Refer to the "Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Adjustment Procedure" below.
