Adding the Elbow will help keep the Hose away from the Plastic Clip.

The below illustration shows how the Hose/Wire Harness should look with the Rear Spoiler installed.
a.
Cut the Hose at 40 mm away from the Vinyl Tape (see Figure 11).
b.
Insert the Elbow into the cut hose ends (see Figure 11).
c.
Make sure the Hose/Wire Harness is routed as shown in Figure 11.
IMPORTANT:
Do NOT remove the adhesive tape backing, with the extra length on one end, before you re-install the Rear Spoiler.
16.
Re-install the Rear Spoiler onto the Rear Hatch making sure:

The three center clips (on the Spoiler) are installed first. Then make sure the two mounting studs and remaining mounting clips are lined up.

The High Mount Brake Lamp Wire Harness is re-connected and properly routed (see Figure 11).

The Rear Glass Washer Fluid Hose is re-connected and properly routed (see Figure 11).
^
The Harness and Hose do not get in the way of the Plastic Clips (see Figure 11).
^
The extra length of Adhesive Tape Backing is sticking out from under the Spoiler so it can be removed (pulled off).
^
All Plastic Clips are snapped into place.
^
The rear Brake Lamps properly operate.
^
The rear Glass Washer Fluid sprays properly.
