Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Use CONSULT to check the ASCD Cancel Switch as follows:

a.

Make sure the Brake Pedal is in the upper-most resting position (all the way UP).

b.

Connect CONSULT.

c.

For vehicles with Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) select ICC Data Monitor Main Signals Scroll Down Brake Switch.

d.

For vehicles without Intelligent Cruise Control select A/T Data Monitor ECU Input Signals Start Brake Switch.

If CONSULT shows "ON" look for other causes of the incident.

If CONSULT shows "OFF" adjust the ASCD Cancel Switch (brown upper switch). Refer to the Switch adjustment procedure in the BR
section of the applicable Service Manual.

CAUTION:

Make sure the ASCD Cancel Switch is turned 90° clockwise to lock it in place.

2.

Use CONSULT to confirm the ASCD Cancel Switch adjustment is correct.

The Brake Switch output should change to "OFF" as soon as you press the Brake Pedal downward.
