Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation of Front Oil Seal

REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine. 
2. Remove crankshaft pulley. 

3. Remove the front oil seal using a suitable tool. 

CAUTION:  Be careful not to damage front cover and oil pump drive spacer.

INSTALLATION

1. Using a suitable tool, install front oil seal onto front cover.

NOTE:  Apply engine oil on new front oil seal.

Install new front oil seal in the direction as shown. 

CAUTION:  Be careful not to scratch or make burrs on circumference of front oil seal.

2. Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.
