Oil Pan Gasket: Service and Repair

OIL PAN AND OIL STRAINER

REMOVAL

WARNING:  To avoid danger of being scalded, never drain the engine oil when the engine is hot.

1. Remove the engine. 
2. Remove oil pan (lower).

a. Loosen bolts with power tool in reverse order of illustration to remove.
b. Using tool, remove the oil pan (lower)

CAUTION:  Use care not to damage mating surface.
