Remove the 3 bolts shown in Figure 6.
b.
Slide the amplifier down.

Disconnect the amplifier wire harnesses.
Heater case shown removed for clarity. DO NOT remove.
Now on to the heater case:

Disconnect the wire harness from the "actuator" (defroster door motor). See Figure 7.

Remove the actuator.
a.
Using a 9/32 socket remove 2 bolts at the bottom of the actuator (see Figure 7).
b.
Using a 7/32 socket remove the bolt at the top of the actuator (see Figure 7).
