POOR A/C COOLING DURING IDLE CONDITIONS AT HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURES

APPLIED VEHICLES:
2004-05 QX56 (JA60)

IF YOU CONFIRM:
An applied vehicle has the following symptoms during extreme hot temperatures:

A/C compressor shuts off when engine is at idle (due to high A/C system pressures)

^

Poor A/C cooling

ACTIONS:

Step A: Confirm if the vehicle requires ECM Reprogramming:

Check the Current ECM Part Number.

^

Compare your Current ECM Part Number to Chart A.

Step B: Reprogram the ECM, if required.

Step C: Replace Engine Cooling Fan Coupling ONLY for vehicles built before:

Date: March 23, 2005

Step D: Replace Condenser Fan / Motor Assembly.
