Apply Adhesive

NOTE:

3M(TM) Scotch-Weld(TM) Epoxy Adhesive DP-190 MUST be used for this repair. This product is listed in the Parts Information.

This is the ONLY approved adhesive for this repair. Do Not use any other adhesive.

Apply adhesive to front and rear edge of each roof support bow.

CAUTION:

Cover the carpet seats and other interior parts to protect them from adhesive spills or drips.

NOTE:

Figure 9 shows a vehicle with a sunroof and 3 support bows. If the vehicle does not have a sunroof there will be 4 support bows.

Use 3M(TM) EPX(TM) Applicator and mixing Nozzle (see Parts Information).

NOTE:

You will need approximately one cartridge of adhesive for each bow (3 or 4 cartridges for complete repair).

Use a plastic trim tool to help create a small gap between the roof and the support bow (see Figure 10). Don't pry the bow too far!
