Fluid - Transfer Case: Testing and Inspection

Checking Transfer Fluid 

1. Check for any fluid leaks and correct as necessary.

NOTE:  ATF is used for the transfer from the factory.

2. Remove the filler plug and check the fluid level as shown. Add any fluid as necessary

CAUTION:  Never start the engine while checking the fluid level.

3. Apply sealant to the filler plug threads.

Use High performance Thread Sealant or equivalent.

4. Install the filler plug and tighten to specification.
