Interior - Squeak/Tick Noise From Front Seats

2004 QX56; SQUEAK AND/OR TICK NOISE FROM FRONT SEATS

APPLIED VEHICLES: 
2004 QX56 (JA60)

IF YOU CONFIRM:

A "squeak" and/or "tick" noise coming from the left and/or right front seat cushion.

ACTIONS:

1.

Scuff the edges on the back side of the power seat switch trim.

2.

Apply Dupont Krytox(R) Lubricant GPL-105 (or equivalent) to the bottom edge of the front seat cushion material and around the outer edge of the
power seat switch trim.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Test-drive the vehicle with the customer to confirm the noise location.

This incident noise (squeak and/or tick) can sometimes be confused as a front door panel noise.

You may be able to duplicate the incident by sitting and/or pushing down on the top outer edge or the seat cushion.

Scuff the Edges of the Power Seat Switch Trim (side that is making noise)
