The extension hose should look like this after it is cut.

Both ends will be the same length from the elbow.

4.

Install the extension hose on the evaporator drain tube as shown in Figure 7.

Do not point the extension hose opening straight down.

Angle the extension hose opening a little to the right (away from the engine) as shown.
