Disconnect both battery cables (negative cable first).

Wait at least 3 minutes after the battery cables are disconnected.

Place the seat on a clean working surface.

3.

Take the buckle pre-tensioner harness loose from its mounting points under the seat.

Remove clips vinyl tape and canvas cover as needed.

Refer to Figure 11 for the driver seat and Figure 13 for the passenger side.

NOTE:

You'll be changing some of the mounting points during reassembly. New locations are shown in reassembly steps.

Remove the seat belt buckle pre-tensioner as follows:
