Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Disconnect harness connector and coil wire.

-

Measure resistance between positive (+) and negative (-) coil terminals.

Resistance should be 0.81 - 0.99 ohms

Measure resistance between secondary and negative (-) coil terminals.

Resistance should be 7500 - 11300 ohms

Measure resistance between coil insulation and all terminals.

Resistance should be more than 10 M ohms

-

Replace coil if not as specified.
