Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE REPLACEMENT
Remove or Disconnect (Figures 20 and 21)
1. Raise the window to the closed position.
2. The door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in this section.
3. The water deflectors. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement in this section.
4. The outside door handle screw access hole plug.
5. The outside door lock rod from the handle.
6. The outside door handle rod from the handle.
7. The screws that retain the outside door handle to the door panel.
8. The outside door handle from the door.
Install or Connect (Figures 20 and 21)
1. The outside door handle to the door.
2. The screws that retain the outside door handle to the door panel.
Tighten
• Outside door handle screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
3. The outside door lock rod to the handle.
4. The outside door handle rod to the handle.
5. The outside door handle screw access hole plug.
6. The water deflectors. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement in this section.
7. The door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement in this section.
