11. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts and studs.

Note the location of the studs.

12. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.

Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Removal.

13. Clean all sealing surfaces.

Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Clean and Inspect.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

1. Install the rocker arm cover to the cylinder head.

Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation.

2. Install the wiring harness bracket by using the following procedure:

2.1. Slide the bracket over the bolt at the rear of the cylinder head.
2.2. Install the two bolts that secure the bracket to the valve rocker arm cover.

NOTICE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings

3. Tighten the bolts in the following order:

Tighten
3.1. Tighten the two bolts to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).
