Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
NOTICE: Allowing the drive belt tensioner to snap into the free position may result in damage to the tensioner.
1. From under the vehicle, remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
2. Remove the tensioner assembly bolt.
3. Remove the tensioner assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings
1. From under the vehicle, install the tensioner assembly and bolt to the engine.
Tighten
Tighten the tensioner bolt to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
2. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
