Generator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions. See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage
Warnings
2. Working through the wheel well, remove the generator rear brace from the engine. Remove the generator brace to the engine block bolt. . Remove
the generator brace to the intake manifold nuts.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
4. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.
5. Remove the BAT feed terminal nut.
6. Remove the BAT feed terminal wire.
7. Remove the generator mounting bolts.
8. Remove the generator from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the generator to the vehicle.
