2. Install the following parts:

The shackle to the spring bolt

The washers
-
The nut
Do not tighten the nut.
3. Install the following parts:
-
The frame to shackle bolt
-
The washers
-
The nut
Do not tighten the nut.
4. Support the axle so that there is a distance of 170 mm ±6 mm (6.7 inch ±0.24 inch) between the axle tube and the metal surface of the bumper
bracket.
Tighten
-
Tighten the rear shackle nuts to 122 Nm (89 ft. lbs..)
Shackle Bushing Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Tools Required
J21474-01 or equivalent Control Arm Bushing Service Set
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Support the vehicle with safety stands.
3. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
IMPORTANT: Support the rear axle.
4. Remove the fuel tank on pickups.
