5. Remove the nut and the bolt that retain the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column.
6. Remove the upper intermediate shaft from the steering column.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice In Service Precautions.
2. Install the nut and bolt that retain the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column.
Tighten
Tighten the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column nut to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the steering column.
4. Enable the SRS system. Refer to Restraint Systems.
