Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
With the ignition switch in START or RUN, voltage is supplied to the body control module (BCM) through fuse 4 and the CKT 39 (PNK) wire and fuse
3 and the CKT 41 (BRN) wire.
SAFETY BELT REMINDER
The chime will sound for 6 seconds when the ignition switch is turned from the OFF position to the RUN position and the seat belt is unfastened. The
seat belt reminder on the IPC will also turn on.
KEY-IN REMINDER
The chime will sound when the ignition switch is not in the RUN or CRANK position, the ignition key is in the ignition key cylinder, and the drivers
door is open.
HEAD LAMP REMINDER
The chime will sound when the head lamp switch is in the PARK or READ position, the IP dimming switch is not at the maximum dimming state, and
the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position.
TURN SIGNAL REMINDER
The chime will sound when the right or left turn signal is turned on for more than 0.75 miles. the chime will be synchronous with the turn signal flasher.
