Steering Wheel Replacement
Tool Required:

J 42578 Steering Wheel Puller Legs
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery negative cable.
CAUTION: Before removing or installing any electrical unit or when a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with "live"
exposed electrical terminals, disconnect the negative battery cable to help prevent personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or
components. Unless instructed otherwise, the ignition switch must be in the "OFF" or "LOCK" position.
2. Disable the SRS. Refer to Disabling the SRS. See: Service Precautions
3. Inflator module. Refer to Inflator Module Replacement. See: Inflator Module Replacement
4. Steering wheel horn contact.
5. Nut that retains the steering wheel to the steering shaft.
Note the relationship of the steering wheel splines to the steering shaft to ensure proper installation.
