5. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts in sequence.

1. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts in sequence to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
2. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts in sequence to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
3. Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts in sequence to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

6. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement (LLV - 2.9L) (See: Heat Shield/Service and

Repair/Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement).

7. Install the exhaust seal. Refer to Exhaust Seal Replacement (See: Seals and Gaskets/Exhaust Pipe Gasket/Service and Repair).
