2. Important:  Remove the original bolt from the J 41478 and use a M16 x 2.0 x 165 mm bolt.

Install the crankshaft balancer using the J 41478.

3. Remove the J 41478.

4. Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the crankshaft balancer washer and NEW bolt.

Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.).

Use the J 45059 to rotate the crankshaft balancer bolt an additional 180 degrees.

5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
