Balance Shaft Replacement-Left 
Removal Procedure 

1. Remove the balance shaft drive chain.

2. Important:

Do not disassemble the balance shaft assembly. Remove and install the balance shaft as a complete assembly.

Rotate the balance shaft to check for free rotation. If the balance shaft does not turn free, inspect the balance shaft bearings and bearing surface
for damage.

Remove the left balance shaft retaining bolt.Discard the bolt.

3. Remove the left balance shaft assembly.
