4. Place the cage on the table large diameter side up.
5. Place the inner race with retaining ring side up into the cage.
6. Place the six balls (2) in the cage windows.
7. Slide the cage/inner race assembly, small diameter first, onto the driveshaft bar.
8. Install the small retaining ring using J 8059 into the groove of the driveshaft bar.
Important: You MUST assemble the D/O joint with the convolute retainer tool (7848076) in the correct position, as illustrated. The inner seal will
be damaged if the D/O joint is not assembled to meet the specified dimension.
9. Install the convolute tool (7848076) over the inner seal, being sure to capture convolutes 3-6.
10. Pack the inner seal and D/O joint housing with the grease! supplied in the kit. The amount of grease supplied in this kit has been pre-measured for
this application.
11. Place the new large retaining clamp on the inner seal.
12. Slide the D/O joint housing over the cage/inner race assembly.
13. Insert the D/O ball retaining ring into the groove at the top, of the D/O joint housing.
14. Install 'the inner seal onto the D/O joint housing.
