1.

Disassemble pump as shown in Fig. 43.

2.

Inspect all parts for any signs of abnormal wear or damage.

3.

Measure outside diameter of pulley flange. Diameter should be 1.1-1.1035 inch (27.94-28.03 mm).

Using a straightedge and feeler gauge, check clearance between vane and cylinder body in direction of thrust, Fig. 44. Clearance should be
.0011-.0027 inch (.03-.07 mm).

Check clearance between vane and cylinder body, Fig. 45. Clearance should be .0094-0141 inch (.24-.36 mm).
