I-Mark (PF), P'UP (KB) and Trooper II (KT) models with diesel engine.
SERVICE INFORMATION
The inlet fuel line joint bolt and the overflow line bolt on the diesel engine injection pump have built-in filter screens. If these screens become partially
plugged, the engine will gradually lose power.
These parts should be removed, inspected and cleaned when troubleshooting any "lack of power" complaint.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
To service the inlet fuel line joint bolt (Figure 1):
a.
Remove the bolt from the pump.
b.
Wash the bolt in solvent or clean diesel fuel.
c.
Inspect the filter screen inside the bolt (Figure 2). If contaminants can be seen, apply low-pressure shop air to the bottom of the bolt to dislodge the
particles.
d.
Wash the bolt again to remove any contaminants.
e.
Install the bolt on the pump.
