Remove the bleed screw from the end of the overflow line bolt (Figure 3) and wash the bolt in solvent or clean diesel fuel.
d.
Inspect the filter screen inside the bolt. If contaminants can be seen, apply low-pressure shop air to the bleed screw hole to dislodge the
particles.
e.
Wash the bolt again to remove any contaminants.
f.
Install the bleed screw into the bolt. Install the overflow line, overflow bolt and advancer joint bolt onto the pump.
