Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Remove wheel and brake drum assembly.

3.

Remove return springs, shoe holding pins, cups and springs.

4.

Position the automatic adjuster all the way in the direction of expansion and disconnect the strut, then remove the primary shoe.

5.

Disconnect parking brake cable from parking brake lever, then remove the secondary shoe.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.
