Wastegate: Testing and Inspection

Wastegate

- Disconnect the wastegate diaphragm hose from the solenoid.
- Install pressure gauge (J-35691) with a "T-fitting".
- Apply approximately 560 mmHg to the hose.
- If the rod does not move 2mm or pressure cannot be applied (ruptured diaphragm), replace the diaphragm.
- Make sure the lever moves when when pressure is between 597-674 mmHg.
- Replce if faulty.
