Cruise Control Switch: Testing and Inspection
Set/Resume Switch Test/Replacement
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures in the SRS section before performing
repairs or service.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable, then disconnect the positive cable, and wait at least three minutes.
3. Disconnect the airbags.
Cruise Control-Set/Resume Switch Test/Replacement-Driver's Side
Driver's Side:
^ Remove the access panel from the steering wheel, then remove the short connector (RED) from the panel.
^ Disconnect the 3P connector between the driver's airbag and cable reel, then connect the short connector (RED) to the airbag side of the
connector.
Cruise Control-Set/Resume Switch Test/Replacement-Front Passenger's Side
Front Passenger's Side:
^ Remove the dashboard compartment.
^ Disconnect the front passenger's 2P connector from the SRS main harness.
4. Remove the dashboard lower cover and knee bolster.
