Wiper Motor: Testing and Inspection
Windshield Wiper Motor Test

1. Remove the cap nuts and the wiper arms.

NOTE:  Remove the wiper arms carefully without damaging the hood.

2. Open the hood, and disconnect the 5P connector from the windshield wiper motor.

3. Test the motor by connecting battery power and ground according to the table.
4. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace it.
5. Reconnect the 5P connector to the wiper motor.

6. Connect an analog voltmeter between the No. 3 and No. 5 terminals. Run the motor at low or high speed.

The voltmeter should indicate 0 V and 4 V or less alternately.

NOTE:  "As" means "Automatic stop". 
This is sometimes referred to as a "Park switch".
