SERVICE INFORMATION
Insufficient torque may allow the windshield wiper arm and motor attaching nuts to become loosened. This Service Bulletin contains the procedure for
torquing the windshield wiper arm and motor attaching nuts to prevent this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Refer to Figure 1.
1.
Remove the windshield wiper motor assembly as described in the appropriate Workshop Manual. Remove the wiper motor arm attaching nut.
2.
Reinstall the wiper motor arm attaching nut as follows:
a.
Apply a thin coating of Loctite 222 or equivalent to the nut threads.
b.
Reinstall wiper motor arm attaching nut to motor shaft. Torque nut 10 +/- 1.4 ft.lbs.
3.
Remove windshield wiper arm cover. Torque windshield wiper arm attiching nut to 10 +/- 1.4 ft.lbs. Reinstall windshield wiper arm cover. Repeat
this procedure on both right and left side windshield wiper arms.
